What do ya know: the math guy (who inevitably knows network theory) wants to network! 😁
I’ve recently noticed the chaos in my own work life, and recruiting is a huge part of that. Thank you for writing out your wisdom for me to reflect on my own situation.
We all have been taught the world is one big network. For global civilization to thrive the network has to stay healthy to continue emerging. And emergent behavior is scale-free (cells to cities to civilizations).
Your conclusion to orient your organization around recruiting therefore makes perfect sense. Foster a healthy network through its growth.
P.S. you point about the depersonalization of YouTube channels was spot on for me. You and the other passionate creators are why I head to YouTube. Thank you so much for all the edutainment 👏👏
I’ve been preparing my application this week for the operations role posted and went to submit today, but noticed the form is already closed. The posting had mentioned it would remain open until at least December 13th.
I’m genuinely excited about this opportunity and have tailored my materials specifically for the role, as 3Blue1Brown has been incredibly important in my engineering education. Would it be possible to still submit my application?
I totally understand if the situation has changed or if you’ve already found the right person for the role. I just wanted to reach out since the closing date came earlier than indicated.
I have my resume, cover letter, and detailed responses to the application questions all ready to go.
Great to see the expansion of this channel beyond just videos! If you really do see that demand from the companies’ side then it certainly worth pursuing 🙌🏼
What you are doing is enhancing what all great educators do, provide not only state of the art knowledge, make it thorough, comprehensive and fun, but also provide connections to the real world matching skills from different backgrounds to real world opportunities. I'm one of many that think you will be remembered as the best math teacher in human history, thank you for all what you do
You articulated what you wanted really well. I know it was kind of a ‘pitch’, but it also read really well as a story. Well, at least it did to me. I absolutely love your videos… it can be really difficult to trust others with ‘your baby’. I find it hard… but if you get the right person it can really make a positive difference. I’ve had both people working for me… someone who was pretty good, but lazy and someone who just delivered over and above my expectations with everything they were tasked with. I wish you the best of luck finding the right person.

Your work is top notch; Amount of quality work got me to get back into Math world bit tilted, it been since 80s. 😅
Always a good sign when this pops up.
All the very best for this new initiative. I’ll always be a student of 3b1b 😎
This is such an excellent idea! definitely a win-win
